Introduction

Whether the skin is white or not depends on the ability of melanocytes to synthesize melanin. Melanin cells are distributed in the basal layer of human epidermis, which contains tyrosinase which can oxidize tyrosine into polysaccharides, and then go through a series of metabolic processes to finally produce melanin. Function

Hexapeptide-10: is from an adhesion sequence of laminin, which restores the cutaneous structure.Hexapeptide-10 is a firming active that promotes a double-cellular activity on both keratinocytes and fibroblast. It increases the synthesis of laminin-5, alpha6-integrin and hemidesmosomes, thus strengthening the dermal-epidermal junction. With Hexapeptide-10,the skin is restructured, replenished, firmer and more elastic, recovering its fullness.


Applications

The Hexapeptide-10 corresponds to residues 2099-2104 of the laminin α1 chain. The skin is restructured, replenished (+19% of skin density after 2  months), firmer and more elastic, recovering its fullness.
