Product Description
Aluminum Nitrate is a highly water soluble crystalline Aluminum source for uses compatible with nitrates and lower pH. All metallic nitrates are inorganic salts of a given metal cation and the nitrate anion. Nitrate compounds are generally soluble in water. Nitrate materials are also oxidizing agents. When mixed with hydrocarbons, nitrate compounds can form a flammable mixture. Nitrates are excellent precursors for production of ultra high purity compounds and certain catalyst and nanoscale (nanoparticles and nanopowders) materials. Aluminum Nitrate is generally immediately available in most volumes. High purity, submicron and nanopowder forms may be considered.

Properties:
Aluminum nitrate, white transparent crystal. Deliquescent. Soluble in water and ethanol, very slightly soluble in acetone, almost insoluble in ethyl acetate and pyridine. The aqueous solution is acidic. The melting point of 73 ° C (decomposition at 135 ° C). It is oxidizing. Rubbing or impacting with organic matter can cause burning.
Application:
It is used in the production of CRT and also in the manufacture of natural electric filaments and mordants. At the same time, it also plays a role in the analysis of reagents, uranium extraction, nitrating agents, corrosion inhibitors and petroleum refining catalysts.
